Passion in Death

She could feel the pain in her chest as her breathing became labored. There was also a pain in her shoulder from where she took a deadly blow from a kunai. All she could think about as she lay dying was of her beloved Shikamaru, and the steps she took to make sure it wasn't him in her position. She had taken the hit for him, and she knew he would have done the same for her.

After a few moments she felt a bit of weight lift her head up. It was Shikamaru, and he had pulled her up onto his lap, and embraced her with such passion.

"Temari why did you do that? You didn't have to take such a risk just for me."

"Are you really that thick?" She replied back "people do crazy and stupid things when they are in love. It's a type of defense mechanism."

"You still didn't have to do it" He replied with tears streaming down his face. "I know your tough and everything, but losing you would be such a drag. I love you too much to let you go. I love you my brave sand ninja."

"And I love you my lazy leaf shinobi"

That was the last thing Temari said as Shikamaru pulled her into a passionate kiss. The best and most loving kiss that the two of them had shared. It wasn't long after that that Temari had taken her last breath and a small stream of blood trickled out of her mouth.

"TEMARI!!!!!!!" Shikamaru cried out in complete agony. A cry that was heard throughout the who battlefield.
